I went to the NC Museum of Art and drew an observational drawing of a sculpture called Blue Dancer by Alexander Archipenko. I drew it from multiple angles which is why there are four figures instead of one. It is the drawing on the left in graphite. After I finished I went home and traced it onto tracing paper and tried out which colors I wanted to use for my final piece. The final on the right was done in gouache. I got the inspiration to paint the shapes of the figure from my mom's old paintings of people.
